The latest released Finger Movies production is an excercise in genre-busting.

Having done drama, action, scifi, mystery, documentary, and what not, the Finger chaps are now entering the dark world of horror. And we don’t mean cheap, flashy splatter, either. (That is mainly because of the budget, or rather, the lack thereof, but that is really besides the point.)

The Box is classic psychological terror, albeit with a twist. Money, greed, and a mysterious stranger are all involved. And some black goo. Can’t have a horror movie without black goo.

The moral of the story? As our favourite literal character, Jerry Cotton, used to say: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

N.B. This is not a silent movie. We are just having some codec problems. There will be sound sometime soon.

Well, not quite. But cameramen can be actors and vice versa.

During the filming of Kontakt, the cameraman made an innocent-sounding comment about wanting to be in front of the camera for a change.

In true Finger Movies spirit his wish was granted and the cameraman was turned into a leading man with the original star of the film cranking the camera handle.

No, the film is actually not called The Tesla Manifesto, although it could very well be. It is called Return of the Man Declared Dead.

After 15 years, a man emerges from sewers and tries to restore his earlier life. But how does his wife or son take the sudden return? Is the smell of Wunderbaum still the same, or the taste of by-gones even more bitter than expected? A must-see epic saga of a nomad’s journey into his own future.

How does that grab your teslas?

If you mix Salvador Dali’s raves with Franz Kafka’s poetry, what do you get? You get Hagan apartment vertigo that can’t be cured with just absinth. If you suffer from schizophrenia, bad nerves, or are under 18 years old, do not download and watch this short story.

If you could not make heads or tails about that, don’t worry. We don’t have a clue about what the movie is about.

But it is pretty cool.
